The Nice Guy

In pop psychology, the nice guy is an adult male who is friendly yet unassertive in relationships with women. He gives emotional support, avoids confrontation, puts others' needs before his own, and generally treats women well. Her short story, "The Two Offers," was probably the first such published work by any African American. How old was she when she published her first novel? More...

John Filson (1747-1788)
