 Maple Syrup Urine DiseaseBranched chain ketoaciduria, or maple syrup urine disease (MSUD), is a metabolic disorder in which an enzyme deficiency allows branched-chain amino acids to build up in the blood and urine. Often diagnosed in infancy, the condition gets its name from the distinctive sweet odor—similar to that of maple syrup or burnt caramel—of the sufferer's urine.  Leon Czolgosz Assassinates William McKinley (1901)In 1901, anarchist Leon Czolgosz shot US President William McKinley at the Pan-American Exposition, a World's Fair in Buffalo, New York. McKinley died a week later, and Czolgosz was convicted of his murder and executed that same year.  Walter Robert Dornberger (1895)A German artillery officer during World War I, Dornberger was captured and spent two years in a French prisoner-of-war camp.
